A new season…

By  |

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose… under heaven.”

Wisdom from the biblical Book of Ecclesiastes and the popular song “Turn, Turn, Turn” by the Byrds, transition happens all around us and lives in our very being. Each and every moment is followed by a transition to the next moment, and the next, and the next. In actuality, we live in a field of perpetual transition. In the space between our awareness of moments, events and stories lies the reality of impermanence and our natural affinity with transition. If only we were conscious of our inherent capacity for transition and change. Perhaps we could learn to welcome transition.

What if we decided to consciously own our natural ability to be resilient during the changing seasons of our lives? No kidding… what if we were to step into trust and believe in our ability to navigate change and practice navigating change with grace? What might be possible? Just for a moment, let’s make it personal. Give yourself permission to consider a new reality.

Imagine you have the strength, wisdom, courage, creativity and resourcefulness to move through transition and seasons of life with greater ease. Imagine you are open to receive abundant blessings of guidance and grace from within and from others in the community. Take a few moments to close your eyes and embody this vision. Really feel it. Notice who is around, and how you are showing up in the vision. Invite the heart to guide you. Cast a vision of life working for you, and see yourself choosing to show up present and aware of life unfolding, moment by moment. You are up for the task. Should resistance arise, acknowledge it and notice what you may need to address or let go of to move forward. Return to the image of ease. Notice how you feel and keep showing up.

This is your invitation to dream and practice present moment awareness, in the quiet moments of your day and amidst activity as moments and situations arise and choices need to be made. As we meet each moment, transition and season with awareness, we allow ourselves to feel and experience life deeply, nurturing our capacity for resiliency, joy and peace. Step into trust. You are safe. In every moment we begin again, truly.
