Access & Opportunity Series
Facilitated by Vera Cornish, the Access & Opportunity Series is committed to convening decision makers in corporations, education, not-for-profits, government entities and community organizations that are engaging in strategic initiatives focused on recruiting, retaining and developing a diverse workforce.
The kickoff of the four part series will take place in Harrisburg with the Access & Opportunity Breakfast: Commemorating the life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Roundtables will then be held across the region in Hershey, Lancaster and York.
The January 18, 2016, event will feature a special presentation on creating a paradigm of inclusion with participation by Melanie Harrington, President and CEO of Vibrant Pittsburgh. Vibrant Pittsburgh is a not-for-profit economic development organization established to spearhead the next Pittsburgh renaissance.
We also welcome special guest Dr. Peter Garland, Executive Vice Chancellor with the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. PASSHE serves more than 110,000 students, making it the largest provider of higher education in Pennsylvania. It also employs more than 12,000 faculty and staff, making it one of the largest employers in the Commonwealth.
Directly after the kickoff breakfast, the Access & Opportunity Career Fair will take place. Both January 18th events will be held at the Hilton Harrisburg.
