Jaimie C. Foster serves as the Chief Academic Officer for the Harrisburg City School District. In this Executive Cabinet position, Ms. Foster supervises the design, implementation, monitoring, and revision of all core content area curriculum, assessment, and instructional materials for more than 6,400 kindergarten to twelfth grade students, as well as collaborate with Information Technology to identify effective software and hardware to promote academic achievement and growth at all grade levels. Ms. Foster also oversees the coordination of the development of all professional learning opportunities for the entire teaching and administrative cadre as it relates to the creation and execution of all core content area assessments, instructional activities, intervention opportunities, and supplemental supports to students. Ms. Foster is a 2001 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, with a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Science Education. She is also a 1999 cum laude graduate from Tuskegee University with a Bachelor of Science in biology. An avid reader, lover of outdoor activities, and promoting education, her greatest work is as a mother to her two-year-old-son, Morgan O’Neal.
