NEW SOUND LITERACY & TECHNOLOGY CENTERS
As you know, we are in a fight against the crime of illiteracy in our children beginning here in our community with a vision to bring change globally. Many parents find it difficult to provide their children with adequate resources to help them reach academic success, and schools cannot achieve this work alone.
Dr. Roma J. Benjamin, Director of New Sound Literacy & Technology Center, has a mission to create an environment that stops illiteracy for children ages 5-14, grades K-8. We are committed to helping children’s reading skills increase and put joy back into learning and reading. Our mission is simple: to create an environment for students to realize and fulfill their potential as accomplished learners and readers. The center has also incorporated health-related literacy. The center will provide health awareness literature and videos that will address healthy and positive eating habits and choices, exercise, recreation and rest, dental hygiene, bullyingand self-esteem.
