Profile: Adrian Buckner
To the United Way Board Members and Volunteer Committee Members,
We are pleased to announce that after very careful consideration, we have selected Mr. Adrian Buckner as our incoming Vice President of Community Impact.
A Harrisburg native, Adrian comes to us with over a decade of professional experience that spans across government, for-profit and non-profit sectors. Most recently, he’s been overseeing counseling agencies and grant programs for the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. In his spare time, he shares his passion for community service and commitment to servant leadership as well. This is evidenced in his rich history of volunteerism and service focused on connecting and increasing resources to various churches and community based organizations such as Christian Recovery Aftercare Ministry, Inc. (CRAM) and others.
Mr. Buckner’s drive and strategic mindset led him to earning two master’s degrees, an MBA and a Master of Science in Law & Public Policy.
His breadth of experience and education afford him a foundation of knowledge that will help the United Way of the Capital Region in moving our mission forward in the areas of health, education, income and basic needs.
We are excited to have Adrian join us and hope you will welcome him upon arrival!
