Robert Tate: Author, Motivational Speaker and former NFL Player

Robert Tate overcame a battle with dyslexia and became a football player in the NFL for nine seasons. Tate was drafted by the Minnesota Viking’s coach Dennis Green in the 1997 NFL draft. Tate went on to play for five years for the Vikings, one year for the Baltimore Ravens and three years for the Arizona Cardinals. Robert retired from the NFL in 2008 and is now a motivational speaker and the founder of the Robert Tate Foundation (2009) which is a certified, not-for-profit 501c3 organization established for the sole purpose of mentoring to our youth.

Robert is able to support youth with your donations and by raising funds from sponsored charity events. All funds raised or collected help with the costs of the mentoring to our youth.

“Sometimes you have to go through the worst to get the best. There is no elevator to success; you have to take the stairs sometimes. So how can anyone lose when everyone in this world started with nothing? I’m just saying.”

Robert has free local, annual basketball, football, and Christmas camps for youth along with monthly youth mentoring classes. Robert also raises funds for scholarships and to help children receive testing for dyslexia. He also helps youth receive the educational assistance that is essential for them to become a productive and successful part of the community.
